Radiant energy<\/h2>\n\n\n

Everything that has a temperature different than absolute zero (0 Kelvin degrees) emits\u00a0radiant energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radiant energy<\/strong> was discovered by Sir William Crookes in 1875.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The radiant energy is natural energy. It can be gathered directly from the environment.
This is the energy of electromagnetic waves including X-rays, microwaves, and light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The microwaves and radio waves are invisible for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nikola Tesla\u00a0is one of the greatest scientists that had to study radiant energy. The first wireless phone has been invented by him and it was based on radiant energy and its physical characteristics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For\u00a0example sources\u00a0of radiant energy can be placed: light, solar energy, X-rays, Radio waves, ultraviolet rays, and infrared rays.
The utilization of solar energy for heating and electricity production is also based on radiant energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Light energy<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Natural light energy comes from the Sun.
As a whole the light is energy. This is a natural way of transferring energy through space really quickly. The speed of light in a vacuum is around 299 792 458 m\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electromagnetic spectrum<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The electromagnetic spectrum is the distribution of electromagnetic radiation according to energy.
Visible light is a really small part of that spectrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the colors from the spectrum corresponds to a different wavelength of light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measurement of lighting<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a little bit confusing and complicated when we ever tried to compare flashlights or lighting of any kind. There are so many confusing terms like lumen and lux that we are supposed to know and use properly. The main three of them are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Candela<\/em>
    Candela indicates the strength of the light emission.<\/li>
  • Lumen<\/em>
    Lumen describes the amount of light that is radiated.<\/li>
  • Lux<\/em>
    Lux indicated the illumination intensity of an area.<\/li><\/ul>\n
