We can create heat by rubbing two things together. This is called <strong>friction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Try this<\/strong>: All you need to make the experiments is: nail, hammer, piece of wood.<br><em>Caution:\u00a0Be careful when you youse the hammer and the nail. Do it only when your parents are near around you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Step 1:<\/em>&nbsp;Feel (the temperature of) a nail and hammer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Step 2:<\/em>&nbsp;Hammer the nail into a piece of wood. Because of the added energy, the molecules of the hammer and nail move faster and the heat is increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Friction experiment 2<\/strong><\/em><br><em>Step 1:&nbsp;<\/em>Put your hands on your cheeks to see how warm your hands are.<br><em>Step 2:<\/em>&nbsp;Rub your hands together quickly 10 times. Bring them to your cheeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Can you see the difference?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>What you will see:&nbsp;<\/em>After rubbing, your hands are warmer than before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Why:&nbsp;<\/em>Friction (rubbing) causes movement of molecules.
