Energy sources

🌍 Energy sources

There are primary and secondary energy sources around us. The general difference between them is that the PRIMARY sources can be used directly, as they appear in the natural environment. Such types are conventional and renewables energy sources.

  • RENEWABLE resources are natural resources. They are a part of Earth’s natural environment. Renewables can be replenished to replace the portion depleted by usage and consumption, in a natural way.
  • CONVENTIONAL energy sources (non-renewable sources) are primary sources. We can use only once them to produce energy. We cannot reuse conventional sources of energy after using them once.

SECONDARY energy sources are derived from the transformation of primary energy sources. For example, petrol derives from the treatment of oil, electric energy is obtained from the conversion of mechanical energy and etc.
